I played (and beat) Freelancer when it first came out. I then had a Geforce 420MX. I uninstalled FL. I recently got a new video card. I bought a Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB. I installed Fl again but whenever I open it I get the first screen where it says 'Freelancer' in white lettering for about 10 seconds and then it just closes everything. I have tried the Microsoft fix for this by updating codecs and then disabled to starting movies. This still does not fix the problem. I am not positive that my vid card is the problem, but it is the only variable between then and now which changed.
