NOOB Mod question

Perhaps you guys can help me here...I DLed the DP_Mod v 1.0 to get the expanded ships etc....so exactly how do I run this?......Do I need to move files around?....do I need to start over?....

Any hlp would be greatly appreciated

get FLMM, activate, walla.

You need to get FreeLancer Mod Manager (FLMM) to easily activate mods. Then you can download mods, and FLMM will recognize it immediately. Then it will install the mod, and you can activate/deactivate it anytime. You can do it by hand however, but it's a lot slower.
