''unorthodox'' resolutions

yo

I'm getting a 17" LCD pretty soon, and it's native resolution is going to be 1280x1024. I know I can play Freelancer at 1280x1024 (my old Radeon would only play 1280x1024, and not 1280x960), but now my new R9700 only let's me play at 1280x960, which won't look correct on the panel. Since the signal is over DVI-D, do you think my radeon will auto-detect the native res and force Freelancer to allow operating at 1280x1024, or will there be some hacking in order?

Methinks Freelancer isn't designed for 1280x960, so some hacking may be in order.

do you use rage3d tweak v3.9 - from rage3d.com. ?

it allows for custom display modes, overclocking, directx, and opengl per
game settings. check it out.

I don't know if you already did this but ATI released version 3.10 of their catalyst driver suite (12/17/03) and it addresses a lot of resolution problems (mainly for TV and HDTV issues but also some for LCD displays)

I'd say give it a shot and see if it works

I know you have to remove the refrigerator door when placing it at the curb , but then the neighbours kid would get away for sure , damn moral dillema's
