New and Different Startup Problem
Right. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Freelancer twice now and am still having this problem. I have turned my sound acceleration off in Dxdiag; still nothing. So here goes.
When I double click on the icon I get the logo screen (a.k.a. the little mini window that pops up in the middle of the screen with the freelancer logo on it). After about five seconds that goes away. My cursor turns into the timpiece and stays that way for about another five or so seconds. Throughout all of this there has been a blank icon on the task bar which I would assume is supposed to be the FL icon booting up. After the time piece goes away so does the task bar icon. So I wait for about thirty seconds then I get an error report.
An error has ocurred and Freelancer has had to shut down. Would to like to send this error report to Microsoft yada yada.
I'm currently running Windows ME
700MHz Celeron
356 Megs Ram
nVidia 64 Mb Mx400
Any help would be appreciated.
