I need help with running game

My game freezes bad -- one time i can go 10 hours in a row other time it freezes every 5 minutes making me to restart computer only....
i run 1100 ... 256 ram...just changed video to nVidia 5200 128 MB GeForce
all the req for game -- i have em --- graphics running good obly getting messy when getting off planet and getting into fight... but runs good and then freezes
it gives me that option to send report to Microsoft but i cant its frozen -- restart
I am desperate
I reinstalled game, drivers... i got so pissed off that inserted my reboot cd and pushed button (good thing no pop ups now) but its still the same ...
Can anyone help me out cos i dont think Microsoft will ever send me e - mail

what O/S you running, i had problems with "freezing" and complete lock out, on the pute that i play fl on, (not host) it turned out that it was sp1 conflicting with freelancer, go figure, there both ms ??

yea on XP i know the Service pack 1 can sometimes conflict. Have you tried getting Direct X 9.0b? That usually solves most problems like this.

I rebooted the whole thing ... reinstalled everything --- got new things now..
Freelancer says cant recognise my 3d video card -- but game runs better...
i get kiked out like only every hour or so
i killed mouse , sound acceleration completely and it looks very nice now and run really good till crash...
I was trying to find direct x 9.0 but couldnt
Can someone help me out with link please ???

Oh yeah 9.0b doesnt solve the problem
