(Possible) Solution for the Global Server issue!
I've not tested this yet, since my version works fine. But I'll hopefully get a friend whose version doesn't work to test it tomorrow, sow I'll post if it worked here in about 24 hours.

I see. Well, thanks very much for you help everyone =) You know what it was though? Corrupt DX9.0b install. Yup. I re-downloaded it and re-installed, and BAM! I can thus play multiplayer now =)
