I have read all the posts on this subject but i am not getting any solutions. No matter which mod i load up, it gets to the splash "freelancer" screen then crashes to desktop, i have tried reinstalling the game, i have no other mods activated, this happens with the serious sirius mod, and the new rebalance mod. PLEASE HELP.

Move your savedgames to a different folder like .../freelancer savegames/original savegames/

If you use FLMM 1.2 this problem is automaticaly bypassed the way I just explained.
And, yes it meens you have to start over again, but only with big mods like Rebalance, Next Generation and massive add-on.
When you use mods that only add a ship or a gun, you can use an old, unmodded savegame.

Are you turning them both on at once? Because that would be bad.
