crashing in Rebalance/Hostile U

Man, what's up with the crashing, mostly in Earth Alliance, and Omicron systems where capital ship encounters are increased? It's become almost unplayable. The stuttering is sooo annoying right before your 30 minutes of hard fragging and looting go up in smoke to the desktop. Someone have any ideas? I've tried turning all AA/AF off, disable 3d sound, etc., this is not the problem. I have two high end systems, one rdram and one DC-DDR so I'm starting to think it's the code in these mods? It would be great to play these mods without so much headache. I do admit, 1 battleship, 3 destroyers, 5 gunboats, 10 titans, (and most likely a whole lot more than this) at one time can get a bit busy on the graphics card. Is anyone else having this problem? I've unistalled/reinstalled FL, WMA 8, WMA 9, what else could I possibly do?

(My) Known problems with HU;
3d sound enabled when using DirectX 9.0a or 9.0b (9.0 seems more stable, but still some problems)
Omega 11. That nasty area just filled with hessians, corsairs, and radiation just kills HU for some reason. Seems ok in SP, but MP makes it crap itself. I have managed to narrow that problem down to the "common.dll" file.

Using the common.dll included in the patch, with none of the other patch files seems to stabilise it.

I have just posted a file with the 1.1 (patch) versions of the files ready to be installed into FLMM. Included is another "mod" that only contains the 1.1 version of common.dll.

Not sure about the rebalance crashes, but i suspect that using the common.dll only version that i uploaded would have the same effect as it does in HU.
