Freelancer Stutters and judders

My installation of Freelancer used to run sweet, bug free no probs at all, I installed TNG 1.4.....STILL sweet, ran a server played on same server on same machine.....STILL sweet, Edited a couple of files for BattleShip Encounters....****ED Stuttery movement and game crashes
Reinstalled Freelancer, Reinstalled Mods.....****ED
Reisnstalled Freelancer left off mods......****ED
Uninstalled/Installed Freelancer added Mod.....****ED
Uninstalled/Installed Freelnacer left off mods.....You guessed it...****ED
Reinstalled DirectX 9........shaamon mo fo...still FCUK'ed
Running RAM Free'er, Defragment etc etc etc.......No Way Hosay
Any Ideas?
Somethings knackered up my Freelancer which doesnt go when uninstalling and all that bumpf.

Uninstall Freelancer (and remove the saved games)

Edit the registry to remove all traces of freelancer. Run a defrag, then renistall.

I had similar probs until i did that...

Just my $0.02, but it could just be the cardamine talking.

When you say remove saved games, do you mean multiplayer accounts aswell?
If so, can i then put them back after reinstallation?

Copy down your multiplayer ID. Either print it out or just use a pen and paper.

Start -> programs -> Microsoft Games -> Freelancer -> Examine my account ID.

Make sure you have this before you start wiping. Otherwise your MP characters will be lost forever.

After re-installing, select multiplayer, and, if the ID it generates is different to your old one, delete it and enter the old ID. All MP characters should remain (unless your unlucky enough for your fave MP server to crash at the same time)

If that doesnt work, may i suggest a hammer??

guys has any of you had porblems with crashing while on line?
mine dows it all the time i am at level 29 in game and its getting boring i need a new challange hens for the online stint. i have palyed online in game called mankind been palying for 4 years so not a newbie at online but this has me stomped i have upgraded everything but my ram it next on my hit list.

any help would be great thx
