MY BUTTON TEXT VANISHES

On the main menu, the buttons have no text, as well on multiplayer screens and various other places.

Why!
I use no dls.

Try this:

on the CD there is a folder called "Fonts" copy the contents of this folder to "C:\Windows\Fonts"

Thanks, but that doesn't work
The problem lies with specific style "buttons" - like on the main menu
Anything like that seems to have notext in it =

I have the same issue, I can play the game no worries, graphics cool and smooth, but most of the text is missing for option buttons or the newspaper board, ship specs etc.

Microsoft says i need to upgrade and that is all they can do. It is a 3d Card problem (the 3d is fine its the text!!)

No one on any of the web sites has an answer i have found and I have looked everywhere!!

I have the same problem. Restarting usually fixes it for me.

What version of Windows are you using?

The computer this happens on is a Windows 2000 Advanced Server with a GeForce FX 5200 128 meg card.

I have the most updated driver...and I know 2000 Advanced Server is not exactly a gamers OS.....That computer runs double duty for me...It's also my Web Server...That's why it has Advanced Server...
