I have a big problem with Freelancer. I'd like to try it...
I remember I tried the demo, and had no problem with it.
Now I have the full copy, original and all. And I can't get it to start. Installation runs without the slightest problem. I also installed the various things you can find on the CD (like the video codec). But when I launch it, I get the spalsh screen, then sometimes the screen where you accept the rules, then... multiple nice Windows blue screens. A crash like I rarely witnessed. 7-8 blue screens, then back to desktop, then, i try rebooting, and yeehaah another dozen blue screens followed by a black one. Really nice.
Here are my specs:
MB : Asrock K7VT2 (with VIA 4in1 drivers, not the latest of all but one of the latests)
AMD Athlon XP2000+
512 SDram @133mhz
GF4 Ti4200, 128megs of DDr
SB PCI128
WinMe
All drivers are up-to date or very close to. And DirectX 9.0a installed and running fine.
So, if you can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
