stupid mod question

sorry if this is a dumb question but if i use the mod manager to enable a mod (in this case the forward firing turret mod), do i have to start a new game for this mod to take effect? or should it work with an existing saved game? because right now, my existing titan turret does not fire forward. so it's either i have to start a new game or i've installed the mod incorrectly. if it's the former, do all mods work similarly (i.e. require the start of a new game for them to take effect or is each mod different?).

You have to start a new game because your current save games won't recgonize the new format of the game you're playing. Most mods I've delt with are like this. Hope this helps you out.

hey guys,

actually the new (beta at the moment - get it here ) of flmm creates a new folder for the saved games for each of the mods you start. if you then go into your original saved game folder and select the save game you want (find it by date modified) and then copy/paste it into the mod save game folder and itll show when you activate the mod.

so you can take your level 38 savegame and play all the mods with it

hmm...where is the save game folder that the mod manager creates? i downloaded the beta version, redownloaded the mod and activated it and then copied the save game file i want but i can't seem to find the other folder to copy it to. a little help?

ok, now i see i have to laod the game first before it will create folder.
