Help!
4000th post in FL Tech !
Anyway, moving on to my problem...
Basically I had to uninstall FL (when I erased my user profile on XP) because my computer kept crashing. Before this the game worked perfectly it installed without a hitch (the first and only time) I ever installed it, but when trying to reinstall it onto my now fresh system an error occurs which prevents installation from being anywhere near completed. It begins to load with no problems until it gets until 2%. (the BR_EQUIP.MAT) file. It then won't progress any further and after some time the message
Now I know for a fact that the hardrive is NOWHERE near full, and there are no other FL files stored anywhere on the computer.
So I ask people here for any help they can offer me.
These are two seperate threads relating to the matter Link One and Link Two . I have tried the two suggestions given here. (use CloneCD or Nero Burning ROM) and neither has been successful. In case your wondering the disk isn't scratched, its just now refusing to work.
Any help you can give me would be GREATLY appreciated!

Oh yeah, I also had the idea of using a friends FL disk to attempt to install and then continue playing it with my own? Comments on that (but only if you can't think of a solution)
Again, Thanks in advance!

Freelancer Setup encountered a disk error while writing to the file C:\Program Files\MicrosoftGames\Freelancer\data\equipment\models\br_equip.mat. Make sure your hard disk is not full, and that the file is not in use.
