Backing up Freelancer

I want to make a backup copy of Freelancer. The license agreement says that I can do it, but when I try my burning software keeps telling me that there is an "unretrievable read error". I tried copying the contents of the Freelancer CD to my hard-drive, then burning it to another CD, which worked, however Freelancer does not recognise the burnt CD as being the Freelancer CD, even after re-installing the game using the burnt CD. It's almost as if there is a lock present on the CD which is preventing users from copying it, but that contradicts the license agreement.

Please help someone!

Safedisk2 protection on the executable, you'll need to remove it before you can play with a 'backup' cd. Search the net for "Safedisc 2 cleaner"

You sure can! Go into My Documents>My Games>Freelancer>Accts and copy the singleplayer folder to wherever
