Problems Reinstalling!

I was forced to reboot my hard drive from scratch yesteraday due to problems we'd been having with various aspects of it but one thing that always worked was FL! I've been trying to reinstall it over and over again today (both express and standard) and I keep getting the same result. I have more than enough memory and the disc isn't scratched in a way shape or form, but during the installation it gets to 2% on the file: br_equip.mat and won't go any further. Occasionally a message comes up saying: Check if you have enough disc space or if the file is being used else where. But how can it? The entire system was rebooted!

Any help would really be appreciated because I have had the game for about 6 weeks and obviously my 10 day return period has expired.

sounds like a scratch to me... however, you could try instlaling it from a different drive.

An alternate method that usually works for me when a CD is messing up is cloneCD:

Get cloneCD and click Read To Image File and make an image of your freelancer CD, then with the virtual drive that comes with CloneCD, mount the image you just created and install from that.

Interesting. Where do I get Clone CD from? Is it downloadable?
