ATI 9800 PRO Graphic nitch

Well, I got my ATI 9800 Pro jsut this day, and it DOENST work well. I ahve read older threads about the 9700 and Pro series and I ahve installed the new drivers, Catalyst 3.2 etc but it is still laggy and my fps is very poor.

Anyone got any new info about this thing? I have asked in at ATI's main site about it and I am waiting for a reply from the aswell from here.

It seems that the newer cards don't work well with FL for some reason.. The GeForce FX line and the 9800 line..

go to www.rage3d.com

The forums are full of ATi experts and veterans, I'm sure there's help there.

For now, I suggest getting the Rage3D tweak program from Rage3D and try disabling some settings, try disabling maybe HyperZ and Truform... Hope that helps!

Definately check out the forums, the Rage3D forums have never failed me.

I have had issues with Radeon cards as well, what I did first is update ALL drivers, chipset and video, DirectX, BIOS (be careful), sound, and NIC's (I have 2). Then try turing off or down anti-alasing and antistropic filtering. The formus are a way to go, ATI can sometimes take thier sweet aggrivating time about getting an answer to you.
Hope it helps.

ATi has drastically gotten better with hardware and software, can't deny em that.

Ever since the Radeon DDR, they have been going the right direction. I just hope they stay in that direction.

Catalyst 3.2 is old and that's the exact driver that has trouble with FL. Did you really read the threads about the 9700s? Download Catalyst 3.4 at www.ati.com.

Hmmm sounds easy the FPS. Allright any pieces of detonators of older nvidia cards?
If you had Nvidia installed before, well then the drivers from them both are busy fighting each other.
But don't worry, I got the counter drug for that diagnosis, I have for most of them.
Here you go:
Click here to get the counter drug to use!
Now try that and fry out the bastards that are left... and welcome to ATi experts around here, also insider news
