I had a problem with a mod and attempted to reinstall Freelancer. It came up with a problem during install. Freelancer automatically uninstalls after problems occur. I did not right down or copy down my account id. I do still have the folders and files in My Documents. Is there any way to get my account id back so i can play again with my same characters?

well if you havnt installed it, you wouldnt have played any multiplayer, right?

Yes, go to the RegEdit and go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
below that u shoudl go to a map called Software and then Microsoft, under that map u should choose Microsoft Games/Freelancer and then a map called 1.0 would apear..

click on it and your ID should be the "InstallKey". not the MPAccountName!!!

Easier still, if you still have all the files, try the myflaccountid.htm in your freelancer/exe folder. It will simply display you id.
