Fl Crashes at main menu

Up until about an hour ago my freelancer was working fine, but now it's dead. It prgresses as normal through the introductory sequences and reaches the Freelancer loading page, the one just before the main menu appears. It then crashes to Windows just as the main menu should appear. I have reinstalled twice now and it's still not working. Prior to reinstalling I was using some mods, but with the renstallations they were also cleared out.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Could try deleting the autosave... My Documents\My Games\Freelancer

Wow. Thanks for that, don't know why I didn't think of it myself. I supoose it's back to the game then, thanks for the tip.
