Help with Text problems

This is not about textures this is about The text that pops up in the box when you are talking to other people and they give you gossip. The text inside that box and all the other text like that is in XML format. Even the ship discription is in XML or HTML format. I have to really ignore all the tags and everything just to see what the hell i am tyring to read. Also when i goto the online games the accept button has XML formatting in it. I cant read anything hardly and it is really annoying. PLEASE HELP!!!

No.. it just seems that you could be missing a few files in windows that parse XML..

What version of IE do you have? Because the XML stuff should install with that...

I am running windows XP home with SP1 and the newest ie. This is what else i have.
Epox 8RDA+
AMD XP2100+
512 DDR400 Twinmos
Radeon 9700Pro w/3.4cats and DX9.0
Maxtor 80gig HDD
Windows XP Home w/ SP1

This is just really odd. I have installed the same copy on a friends computer jsut to see if it was my copy and it works fine on his but not on mine. This is frustrating. I cant hardly read anything i cant even see ship specs.

Twice i even reformatted and installed eveyrhting clean and i still get the stupid xml problems this is unheard of i guess. I have posted on 2 other gamming sites and so far you are the only one to reply.

Found the problem at another site. This is what they told me to do

Click--Start->Run
then type in "cmd" (without the quotes) press enter
This will bring up a command prompt. From there type:

regsvr32 /u msxml4.dll (enter)

then

regsvr32 msxml3.dll (enter)

After that goto the folder where you installed Freelancer and doubleclick the msxml3.msi and go through the process to install msxml3 again. Hope this helps
