Could be an audio problem, Because those specs are similar to mine (AMD XP1800+, Geforce 3 128mb, 768mb DDR) Have you tried the latest drivers for your sound card?

its not, my audio used to work fine. i installed Reynen's mod and MP Neutrality, and afterwards when i got bored and tried to deactivate, the game stopped functioning properly.

Delete your autosave.

Post Sun May 18, 2003 4:47 am

how?

Post Sun May 18, 2003 6:43 am

Ity should be somewhere like this:

x:\my documents\my games\freelancer\accts\single player\autosave.fl

Post Sun May 18, 2003 7:53 am

deleteing the autosave thing doesn't do anything for me, still keeps crashing.. any other ways?

Post Sun May 18, 2003 4:12 pm

dont work for me either.
maybe u dont understand my problem.

the Microsoft splash comes, the Digital Anvil Splash comes, the freakin intro movie comes, but after that, when it should go to the Freelancer splash, the screen goes dark purple and it goes to the desktop, where i cannot access the game any longer. nothing to do with savegames.

Post Sun May 18, 2003 4:39 pm

what about deleting the whole my games folder.. does it work? or try adjusting things inside the PrefOptions.ini file, i used to have aproblem where the my monitor cannot support 1024*768 so basically I just change the value at [Display and it woked like a charm. good luck

argh i'm never gonna get paid, Goodbye a million credits

nope, that doesnt work either.
thanks anyways.

I think that the game crash is because the game consume all of the RAM and forget to create a cache in the hard disk.

Other thing is that Windows may have a lot of bugs.

same thing happen to me when my brother install this Sim Hot Date game.

I wonder why he plays such stupid game..
