Windows 98 Fix!

Current specs:
P3 1.1 ghz, ATI Radeon 7000, 512 megs ram, windows 98, latest drivers for everything on my rig...

So i went out and bought a Radeon 7000 today, I installed the card(catalyst 3.2)and then i installed windows 98, direct x9a, i then went on to install the VIA Hyperion 4n1 chipset drivers, went to play the game and it kept locking up on me.

so i decided to give the ol' chaps at microsoft a call...after about a 30 minute conversation we figured out that it is a hardware problem on my end...(hmmm what led them to believe that?)

so after some fooling around with the various components in my PC, and nothing we tried was working, i come to find out that if you are running Windows 98 with 512 megs of ram its VERY VERY UNSTABLE!!!!! But there is a fix for that if you go to:

Start ->
Run ->
Type msconfig ->

then click on the advanced button down on the bottom right, there should be a box "Limit Memory to" Enable the box and set the amount to 128 (its the minimum FL needs) I did that and i have been playing FL fully loaded! all detail, full sound acceleration, and graphics acceleration!! Full game performance!!

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!! Freelancer is working for me now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
