Strange MP problem.

OK, I'm trying to get on a server, but whenever I try it gives me that error saying connection couldn't be established. I am running a fully legal copy of this game, I have no firewall/router/ anything like that. It also lists the server ping as "--" but that's not possible because other people can get on it! I can get on other servers, but not this one.

I am running windows XP and using a MOTOROLA SB4200 SURFboard cable modem. I've re-installed the game numerous times, I have no mods installed, why is this happening?

Are you using directX9? The single player game works fine with 8.1, but the multiplay doesn't seem to work unless you're using 9 or better.
(XP installs with 8.1)

if it has no ping then its one of 2 reasons.

1 its not running/crashed but your game still has it in the server list.
2 the admin changed the query port so you can't join until you know it

Well, the admin's comp is forwarding the info to another port, instead of the default one... so, how do I join with that port?
