Freelancer savegame files?

Does anyone here know where the savegame files are? I'd like to backup my single player games, but can't seem to find the files.

theyre in my documents>freelancer

EDIT: if you have the demo installed along with the full version then it will be in my documents>my games>freelancer

I made a little bit of a tactical error, in that I didn't like the directory "My Documents" (I use "Data" instead), and I deleted the My Documents directory some time ago because I was tired of all of my programs trying to put stuff there. Yes, I really did delete it; using a DOS boot disk.

Now, I cannot find my saved games in Freelancer.

Surprisingly, saving and loading still works without problems. I have a bunch of saves, and they all load fine. I just have no idea where it is saving to.

To try to find and back up my games (I have read about the crashes here), I re-created the My Documents directory, and I created a My Games directory inside of that. Then I created Freelancer directories in each of these directories. I re-started Freelancer, and loaded a game, and re-saved the game as FreeXYZ so that I could do a search on both of my local hard drives to try and see where it is saving my games. Unfortunately, the search of C and D came up empty.

Where the heck is it saving my files on disk? Is it saving them on disk? Anyone have any idea?

They are in a folder named "Freelancer" and not the one where the DATA files are. Best of luck.
