Now this is definately a problem.
I'm posting this in Tech issues because it certainly fits here.
To see this, go to TBP Universe before the fellow who runs it restarts it.
You may need ASE to connect to it. TPB does not often show up on the Master even though it's been up for months straight.
Apparntly the fact that the server has been running 24/7 for at least a month has caused another bug (one serious enough to be a big problem for NooBs on a server). If you go to a bar in TPB universe and try to chat you'll see that you cannot get a chat icon anywhere. You cannot bribe, get roumers, bribe, or get jobs via NPC's anymore. This is true for anyone logging on, Noob or return visitor. For the blastfest lovers this is not a problem, but this makes advancement for Noobs next to impossible unless they want to use the job board (thereby locking off avenues of developement they may wish to take).
I'm not exactly sure if this is a bug, the result of a hack, or what exactly it is.
Unless this was the intended effect as directed by the admin of the server, it's definately a problem.
I think that one should not be running a server so long before restarts anyways, but I think that people are going to be doing it despite being told not to.....
