if your system is Windows 2000 or XP, open the system registry editor (regedit) from the RUN command window. • Locate and delete the following key:

\HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Drive s32 msacm.l3acm

• Load the Freelancer installation CD and locate the REDIST folder. Within the REDIST folder, double click on the file named “WMFDist.exe” and follow on-screen instructions.

PS Would advise folks who dont know how to edit Registry, ask someone else to help with it.

Hi i have the same problem with freelancer, i did reapair the registry and it fixed the problem. BUT there is some other problem when i play the game everithing is ok until suddently (i dont knew why) there is some interirance in the backraund, if i restart the game sound reapait it self until the noise apear agin. did yu have the same problem? do yu knew what is the problem. thnx
