Sorry heltak, I sometimes do not grasp the easiest of ideas thinking it's much deeper than it really is.
@Null, I'm sorry but that makes no sense to me for two reasons. One those are contimually purged as new ones are created. And two, it takes some serious guru knowledge to turn that feature off in Win98 since it's a DOS based command. Normally, it saves 5 dates and they seldom go back much farther than 1 or 2 weeks. Are you sure you followed the exact steps?
You must restart your machine in
MS-DOS mode. When you do that it defaults to C:>Windows and you'll need to change directories (cd) to C:>Windows>Command Then type in "scanreg /restore" at that prompt.
