Midgame Blackscreen/FreezeScreen

I keep on having these blackscreen or Freezescreen during midgame (especially in cutscenes). I don't this specific problem have been addressed in this forum. I have an ATI Radeon 9700 and P4 2.4 with Catalyst 3.2 and no I don't have those low FPS problems on this forum. It's recurring too, so everytime I load up a savegame and a freeze occurs, it would reoccur unless I get lucky or I rollback my savegame far far back. Anyone has this problem/solution?

Hey man, i don't think i can help, but i can really relate to your dilemma. I have a sappy PC:

Duron 850
MSI K7T Turbo mobo
64Mb Daytona Geforce 2 MX 200
256 MB RAM.

Only thing is, when i swap the Vid card with a 32Mb Riva TNT2 M64, it runs PERFECT. the Geforce screws me over. In one of the forums, some dude mentions downgrading the Detonators to 41.90, and that got me past the black screen problem, but onto your problem. It plays for 10 or so seconds, and that's it. shows over man. WE NEED HELP

The problem is I'm not even on GeForce. I use Radeon 9700 and I don't have any other cards.

Yeah i know. jus sayin that so that maybe i could get some help too. Big question here: does the same happen in Battlefield 1942????? if u have it tho. cos, my PC will always crash BF and Freelancer, both in the same times, and it's not a memory problem. i jus wanna see if our problems are the same that's all.
