Wierd problem in MP

It seems I have to hold down the 's' key to stay stopped, if I lift up on the s key, it goes up to 80 again. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

You are using a logitech mouse, are you not? If you are, before starting the game, right-click the iTouch software icon in the system tray and exit it. Now your in-game throttle should work normally.

Yes, I do have a logitech mouse, but there is no iTouch icon in the lower right. The only other things running are explorer and systray. Good guess though.

I too have a Logitech mouse and no iTouch thing... Hmmm but I don't have a problem with throttle either.

Note thet Freelancer is distributed by Microsoft and your mouse is a Logitec.

It actually sounds as if you have something keyed to the foward throttle that should not be. Make sure all your joysticks/gamepads are unplugged (the logitecs joystcks LOVE to become throttle controls, even in games that don't support them). Do not use the Gamegrip keypad if you have one. Freelancer boggles it, thus creating keyboard errors. As a last result, unbind your foward and stop keys in the game. Your mouse wheel will default as a scrolling throttle
