Cannot connect to global server

Anyone have an answer yet to this one yet.

Verzon DSL, westell dsl modem, linksys DSL router, all ports open, set to DMZ...all settings triple checked...yata yata yata......still no can play online.

help..help

oh yes and I have installed DriectX 9.0a and updated my router firmware.

It would seem that the global servers are down, I have an Alcatel speed touch home modem without all the extra crap westels have. i get it sometimes too.

i heard MS is upgrading or repairing? not sure, i have not really known microsoft to fix a damn thing but their bank accounts.
