Does Freelancer require the cd to play?

I'm planning on playing the game on a lan with my brother, and I need to know if I need to buy two copies.

I dont think so. I had a nice 4 hour game the other day before realising that my Total Annihilation disc was in instead of FL. lol.

Yes, it requires the CD to be in the drive to launch.
