Help - my monitor blew up

I've just had to borrow an old monitor as mine died. The maximum resolution is much lower than my old one, I've set it up so it all works ok (in Windows safe mode), but now when I start Freelancer it goes back to the resolution I set in the game options. How do I change it before I lauch the game ? All I can see is squiggly lines.

Please help because I'm freelancer less.

If your monitor doesn't support at least 1024x768 your SOL, but if it does, uninstall/reinstall will reset the graphics.

Edit the PrefOptions.ini file in My Documents\My Games\Freelancer

Resolution is at the bottom... change it to whatever you need.

Thanks, I'll try out the second option when I get home, and if that doesn't work I'll reinstall.
