NON NORMAL CRASH PLEASE HELP>

Ok folks i did something really fukt up.

I was playing around modding some files. I made back ups of what I was working on. Got all my stuff to work, but was unable to test it in a MP enviornment. I I copied out the files to the original INIs / DLLs. Go to restart the game, it crashes just before main menu pops up.

No luck with getting files back so I re-installed (re-install option from autorun). Same thing happens. Got pissed off so i totally unistalled the game, then did a fresh install to a new directory on a new drive.
Same frigging issue. Goes through the intro movies, gets to the freelancer spashscreen before main menu and then dumps to desktop.

All files are from a new install and I did NOTHING with the registry.

Does anyone have ANY ideas on what I can try to get the game back and running, short of a system format?

PLEASE HELP!

Hmmm, that was interesting... Problem had to do with the user files stored in the My Documents\My Games\Freelancer folder. I backed up of course first, but after I wiped everything in the folder, it suddenly works! Yiipee!!!! I can play freelancer again!!!

Reading the readme.txt would have helped then you would have known to delete AutoSave.fl

If Freelancer keeps crashing at loadup, delete or rename the My Documents\My Games\Freelancer\Accts\SinglePlayer\autosave.fl saved game file.

Still doesnt help Lord Tarl, unless you put back the game save folder as well?

Ok I went through the system registry and removed a few links to non-existant directories and it cleared up.

Odd thing was, the server would be up, and everyone could play on my machine, 'cept me.
