Nimo Codec

Hi all!

A lot of people in various threads (also in the game readme file) have mentioned that removing the Nimo Codec pack may halp with some sound/stability problems. How do I know what the Nimo Codec is? Is it called the "Nimo Codec"? These are the audio codec I have....

Fraunhofer IIS Layer-3 Codec
IMA ADPCM Audio CODEC
Microsoft ADOCM Audio CODEC
Microsoft CCITT G.711 Audio CODEC
Microsoft GSM 6.10 Audio CODEC
DSP Group TrueSpeech(TM) Audio CODEC
msg723.acm
Windows Media Audio
Spiro Lab Telecom Audio Codec
Indeo audio software
Microsoft PCM Converter

Can anyone identify if I have the Nimo Codec please?

What the heck is a Codec anyway?

Cheers

A codec is a way of compressing sound/video files....coder/de-coder

The Nimo codec pack is basically a load of different codecs that some one has brought together in one pack. While this is a good thing, sometimes there can be conflicts...see the Nimo codec read me for example
