Cockpits and Interfaces, so on and so on

GAHH!!! This has been annoying me for so long it's not even funny. Tell me how to do these two things:

1) Get the cockpit view (first-person view) instead of the full ship third-person view, I'm so much better with that kind of view in about any game imaginable.
2) Mkae the UI disappear. Sometime I just like to marvel at the scenery, and not look at some panel that tells me that I have quite obviously clicked on a trade lane ring.

Thanks if you can!

u can make the hud disappear almost totaly by hiding most of it
u can set a key for it in the options screen
there s probably also a key to go to cockpit view (if its possible in the game. dont know this since i dont need it)

Go edit your controls and look up the button for cockpit view. I can't tell ya which one it is since I don't use it but I do remember seeing it in the key config.

Cockpit view / 1st person: RTFM

"fullscreen": All you can do is minimize the different elements. That will get you some ways, but short of maybe a MOD, there's little else you can do. The cockpit view isn't any better, so that's not a good option.

Ctrl V ro switch to 1st person and H to mimimize the the hud elements is as close as I've gotten to a better view of the universe. I like to take screenshots without all the other screen elements and can't do that in FL. I relate to your frustration.
