Yet Another Multiplayer Problem

Looks like a lot of us are having problems with the multiplayer portion of this game. I haven't seen my exact same scenario reported yet so I thought I'd check to see if I was overlooking something. When I go into the multiplayer section and pick Internet, it brings up the server list screen and says it connected to the global server and that there are internet servers available... but nothing shows up in my list. It's totally empty. I click refresh and nothing happens. I can click on the column headings and they change as if they're resorting, but there's no servers listed. I thought maybe it was possible that there just aren't any servers up right now... nah. I thought maybe it was my firewall, but then I wouldn't connect to the global server would I? Any help is appreciated.

After searching further while waiting for replies, I see that some people who couldn't connect to the global server have had luck using the All Seeing Eye program. Well, apparently I can connect to the global server, but I'll try ASE to see if that fixes my problem.

I downloaded and installed ASE last night and when I tell it to search for servers, my LAN connection drops briefly and the search stops while looking for an Internet connection. Connecting to my firewalls web-based configuration page showed me that my DSL connection was down to. I exited ASE and reconnected to my ISP and tried again. Same result. This time I left ASE running when I reconnected to my ISP - and it was able to finish searching for a list of servers so I could finally see some servers to play on. Still don't know why the list won't show up within Freelancer, though. I guess, like everybody else is saying, Microsoft needs to fix and patch this bug.
