I know this has to be a no-brainer fix, but how do I add the -s parameters to the command line? When I edit the target field in the shortcut I get an invalid file error and I cannot apply the change. blah

Use the fldirectip.hta file in the Exe folder of Freelancer.

But sounds like you are putting the -s in the quotes when it should be outside.
