Voodoo 3 video adapter cards

Got to love how microsoft says, "Note Windows 2000 and Windows XP do not support Voodoo 3 video adapters."

I have a Voodoo 3, and I have also been running Windows 2000 for a few years as well. With drivers from the video card manufacturers the card is very well supported on windows 2000, which makes me annoyed at their statement.

I do however have the video problems associated with the Voodoo 3 for freelancer. What i could see and experience out of the game however was enticing to say the least, and their minimum cpr speed of 600mhz, isn't the slowest the engine will handle as i had no speed issues when running my ancient 400mhz processor through as much of the game as i did. Only place it stumbled in performance was through the intro movie and nowhere else, go figure.

Frankly I'm not surprised your intro movie coughed up, even on 1Ghz+ processors if you run it in Windows Media Player it skips frames. Chalk one up to Micro$oft's CPU-efficient video codecs.
