Freelancer DataStorm Error

When I run the .exe I get a 'rune time error 53' when its reading textdata 298441/307784. Anyway around this?

You´re not alone, I have the exact same problem. So, how can we get past this error?

Ack, I can't remember where I got the file (and, hence, who to email about the problem). Rest assured this topic won't go away until it's solved

Is this using the 1.4 patched EXE?

So this 1.4 thingie wasn´t a patch, it was the patched main executable for DataStorm. That was my error. I thought it was a patch and didn´t run it from the programs´ main directory. Now that I´ve copied it into the correct directory it works like a charm.
