Why can''t I connect to any internet global server

I go to mulitiplayer and hit internet and no list appears? It was working last night.
Is there something wrong with the global server?
I'm on ADSL.

You don't say much about your situation, but there are some possible reasons:

1) your ISP blocks certain ports
2) you live on a school campus and they block certain ports
3) your ISP sucks?

Those are the only 3 options I can think of. If you want to post more info about your setup, we can try to help more.

Actually I had issues last night trying to connect. Might have been some kind of problem, intermittent like. Normally I have no issues with connecting to it.

Can connect today. Must have been a problem with the Global servers.

I had a problem of not being able to connect to the global server as well, for some reason it was fixed when I disabled my lan connection

I DL'ed the All seeing eye and it solved this prob for me... (thanks for suggesting the all Seeing Eye, cant remember who)

Frustrating when that happened, but it resolved my problem with the Global server.

You're welcome, ASE is a great tool.

LOL!
Thanks RevRaz.

ASE is very kewl. I just dont understand why Freelancer cant see the global server by itself anymore (I fire up ASE and connect and then I can see the servers, but FL still cant do this by itself).

Anyone wants to share the theory behind this?

I'm using Cable Internet and FL worked before with connecting to the Global, even after several shut-downs and restarts. What changed? Why did it change?
Ghosts in the machine?

I'll wager it has to do with Direct Play, where ASE can skip that and view the Listserver on it's own. Can't say for sure though.

What's All Seeing Eye? Never heard of it before, but it sounds like it might solve my global server disconnect problems... Can someone send me a link?
