Damned thing flew me into a sun while was I getting a drink. Bastard!
Had about 15 Class 10 guns in the hold too which I was gonna flog to my m8s!

So, question is... What happens to stuff you lose when you get blown outta the sky? Are these guns gonna respawn in the place I found em or are they lost forever?

LOST FOREVER~ never run autopolite when you off somewhere...

its like driving in your car and put cruise control on and you sleep for about 15 mins.. lol.

If you use the "goto" command, in conjunction with waypoints/targets, your ship will manage to get where it's going. I've had it navigate aroud planets, suns, asteroids, planetary atmospheres, etc.

I've had it navigate around suns before, but I've also had it crash me into planets and fly through minefields.

If you found your guns on a derelict ship, they'll respawn eventually, yes.

I really hate the auto-pilot as well sometimes...
Planets, mines, other ships, debris, you name it I've probably run into it and managed to get killed by it.
Just earlier I was in formation with my friend, he did some fancy turn and it put my AP out of control, it threw me into Denver's atmosphere before I could set down my tuna sandwhich and move away.
as far as the dropped items, I believe it all comes back when the server reboots, as well as possibly sometime while the server is on.
