Convert Singleplayer ---> Multiplayer ?

Is there a possibility to convert character from singleplayer ---> multiplayer ?

No, that would invite cheating. Characters are stored on the server, sorry.

Try this: Set up your own local FL-Server, start the game and connect. Now play as long as you want. When you then make a new "Internet-Server" for FL you can use the character which you used in your Lan game. But if you are not the host and join an internet-game, your character-files will be saved on the host´s PC and if you have no luck and the server will never get up again your character is lost. Well thats fate, hmm?

Singleplayer ----> LAN:

start server, create character, shut game down. go to \my files\my games\freelancer\accts\multiplayer\[your id here\ and copy any singleplayer savegame in you want. when starting the server againg you can pick your singleplayer character to play with. of course get the singleplayer save from \my files\my games\freelancer\accts\singleplayer\

Done this, but my character name is now Trend. Is there any way to change it?

as far as i know, all characters in multiplayer are named trent. not sure about this, only heard in game reviews.
but you got a name.X file in the servers multiplayer folder, this should determine your name --> the name you entered when created a new character. so your playername is "xyz" while youre character is still trent, like all other characters.
