i am having the same problem!
it often takes me 30-60mins to log onto the global server list.
Just incase that's helpful for anybody... I have no idea how to fix it and i seriously doubt it has to do with graphics!

I have the same problem... The only thing I can do is wait and the list pops up like 30-40 min later... Very annoying so if anyone has a solution to this it would be very helpful.

that's quite amazing.
I'll give it a try. I don't think i can uninstall directx the usual way tho.

Any ideas?

LMAO it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to the original source of directx9 or whatever the latest one is and said "install"

I then loaded the game and shizzam. Problem solved!
I'll be sure to report here if it was just a coincidence!

FL MP requires DX9.... Is ln the CD. Other issues with the FL Server are discussed in the document under /Extras.

just for interest's sake.
Today (after rebooting my computer) i can't connect to the global server quickly anymore. (yesterday the reinstall of directx9 fixed the problem.)

I tried re-re-installing directx9
no luck.

I am currently back to where i started. Just FYI.

I've having the same problem. i tried reinstalling and it didn't work. same problem

I fixed the problem by installing DX9 off of www.microsoft.com/directx. The one on the CD didn't fix the problem but the downloadable End User Runtime from microsoft's site did.

Now it connects silky smooth all the time.

I get the same problem too. I have tried restarting, reinstalled DX9, etc. etc. etc.

I had it working earlier today and was on a multiplayer server for hours. But when I came home from class, I was unable to get on the Global Server.
