I assume there is nothing built in to the game that supports voice based chatting, yes?

Given that, any plans for Elite to also host teamvoice or one of the other quality (free) VoIP software options? They're pretty lightweight...

Hmm, running a TS server might not be a bad idea, though I'm not sure how much bandwidth it would eat up. Could be worth trying though, in fact Stinger might already be planning it

I like that idea. Cause you can call for backup easily. Instead of pausing and typing. But it is a bit hard espically with b/w.
