Hmmm...well, I played on the Lancer's Reactor server until I had 3 million creds, an Eagle with level 9 and 10 weapons, and well, now I'm kind of out of things to do. PVP isn't really my thing, before you ask.

So now I ask, are there any good modded servers out there, preferably ones that aren't just collections of other mods haphazardly thrown together? I'm really just looking for Freelancer with more of everything, rather than something that changes the game's theme entirely, or adds a bunch of nonsensical stuff, like Star Wars/Trek in the FL universe. A good playerbase and community would be nice, too.

Well if you dont mind running a third party client then Total WAr is by far the best mod out there.

Follow those to the letter and join the war! We always love new pilots, (Not because your fresh meat either! We try to take care of our own since the mod is one of the least forgiving with its death penalty.)

Hmmm, Ioncross looks cool...and unforgiving, which I like. I think I'll give it a try tonight.

Edit - After playing it, I'm pretty impressed. It's very hard starting out, I had to start my character over once already. The best way to describe it is "Angry Freelancer." Everything is way harder, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, Vanilla FL was getting to be too predictable. I think it'll be worth my time, and might be enough to breathe new life into FL for me. Thanks for the suggestion.
