Make a server and join

Hi,

I have made a dedicated server. Friends (over the internet) can join my server. Only local I see a strange IP address (something like: FF00:CE29:2399FSS....)

When I try to join, I can't join my own server. Can somebody give me a hint what it is....
Sometimes I see a correct IP and than I can join. This happends after restarting freelancer 15 times or more....

I have a router and opend de correct port's for freelancer. I also made a virtual server to my local PC.

Thx,
Wouter

Do you still have the manual that came with your router. If you do read it...
If you don't you need to read about how routers work and how to add a service so you can get past the routers built in firewall.

See if you can search for or find the support page for the router you have.
Example if you have a netgear router go to http://kbserver.netgear.com/main.asp

There's a lot of good imformation on http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm

that strange IP address format is IPv6
go to the properties page of your network card and un-check 'Microsoft IP version 6' and you will get a 'normal' IP address
