i got a buddy who keeps hitting the planet in the liberty Battleship when he is attempting to land on the planet thou the docking rings what is causeing this

Battleships always were a problem in FL because they are too big for travel possibilities.
Actually as a Battleship or Train you should be able to dock with the Mooring Fixture at the top of the Docking Ring.
Otherwise you must dock manually, that mean you must bring your Battleship in the right position near the Docking Ring or the Mooring Fixture before you can dock.

the tricky thing is to have the right possition for the HpMount
