Freelancer Forum, anyone?

Many 'vanilla' servers exist. Just turn off all your mods, then tell FL's MP search engine to "Hide Servers with Incompatible Builds." If none show up, then your crisis is indeed real, but I've played on many unmodded servers. They're out there. Time for this thread to take a trip to the MP forum...

if you can find the [MC server i believe it is a vanilla server, excpet for an optional mod that the clans use as it is a clan run server, i haven't played in awhile as i can't get connected to the global server but it was a very fun server, annual PvP events even some with objectives etc. just a very fun server and very fun people to play with.

I have just started playing on a multiplayer server I found. The server is SIRIUS SECTOR 24/7 (IP 68.239.41.78). It seems to be a vanilla server. But few people are on it. If you want a vanilla server this might be the place to try. You will find me under the name PathFinderFreightLines. I am still real new and still flying a fighter. I tried some other servers with server mods on them and I never could stay alive.

Hehe! Some of us have been playing a while and have found plain vanilla FL just too easy. You think starting with $500k is easy? Well even some newbies can make it nearly out to Omicron Theta in a Starflier. OK, that's stretching it a bit but it really is easy.

Some minimalist mods (like the one on my server, Boston) are minimal in the fact they little change the original FL vista. What changes are things we've agreed would make the game more challenging. Lello's mod and I think a few others go along this same route except they usually add more powerful weapons (like the Paralyzer launcher) to the game. Still the idea is to continue challenging the FL purist without exstensively changing the FL experience.

Nevertheless try servers at will. Your mileage may vary.

I run a "vanilla" server but I don't like it I am looking for a mod that will open the jump gates, I am not new to freelancer but I am new to running a server and I don't know why some of the jump gates are locked to me.

The Sirus Sector Server I was playing on has disappered from the server list. I have now switched the the RAW server. It is running the Boston Server side mod. Can anyone tell me where to find a list of changes that this MOD makes. I am really liking the server.

MMM, You could try the Warfare server.

It has a custom Mod running that adds some cool additions.

It adds some ships, updates the npc difficulty and changes some concepts of the game by opening Minor/ all jump gates to go thru.

It's been seeing a steady increase of players so you would probably have lots of fun here.

Even though you're looking for a server without mods this one keeps everything hard to get thru. I've had many complaints from new players saying they were having a hard time doing missions in NY.
