I can't play online! It says that it is connecting to the global server but it never works!
I need help fast, I don't want to be a loner forever!

I have the same problem, but my causes might be different from yours. thry this:
1)go to search forums
2)search multiplayer forum after entering "multiplayer help"
3)search threads til you find your specific problem
4)copy&paste into notebook the page that describes the fix
5)implement fix and have fun

That should get you there.

P.S. If you have windows xp and have installed service pack2, make sure you have allowed FL access in windows firewall, also if you have ZoneAlarm turn it off as well.

First thing you should check is that your DirectX is 9 and not 8 (latest is 9.0c)
SP works with 8 but not MP that tripped me up 1st time MP.

O I had this problem too. If youre using AOL, it doesnt connect enough for a connection to FL or something get a new thing like MSN, works better
