persisstant servers...

How do i prevent that my server goes ofline if i close FLserver? and another question: if it goes online how do i restore all the player data?

FL server is the program that RUNS the serve, so you cannot close it. You mean how to minimise it so that its not even on the task bar - but more like other windows progs at the bottom right corner.

For that - you cannot as far as i know.

I seem to remember a program that allows you to move any open window from the taskbar, to the system tray.

Check download.com

You can run flserver as a service. This was done in the early days when it was needed for flserver executable to start after a 'puter system reboot. No longer necessary with IFSO and FLAC out there.

All saved game files for both SP and MP are kept under My Documents\My Games\Freelancer\Accts directory. They contain the "data" of all players and are saved when logging out, undocking or exiting from a hole or gate.

EDIT: If by current players you mean players that are logged in, then of course they go away! As Chips said flserver is the executable that IS the FL server and if that is shut down then players have nothing to connect to for FL MP!
