Connection?

Okay, I am new to the forum, and I have a really newb question...

How do I play online?

I start Freelancer, I go to multiplayer, and it says it is connecting to the global server...and that's it. Nada.

Is there a secret I am unaware of here?

Thanks!

You will need to have direct X 9b or 9c (9c is available with XP SP2 RC2) installed. You will also have to make sure that you are not being blocked by your own router/firewall if you have in on your home network.

did u connect to the internet first?(noob Q's)
You Should Be able to see the server listing's You know
and double click on the server tu desire to connect.
Abit of advice: choose the server with the same Version, low pings.
and if u are using firewall it needs port 2300-2400 to be opened for connection.

argh i'm never gonna get paid, Goodbye a million credits

Would love to play online but at home only have dial up

I can get to an HSA a few times a week but not from home (not yet atleast)

I played on a dial-up for a few months, it was playable.
